Fantastic App!

Dont look any further or waste anymore money. Bar none, this is the best recipe organizing app available.

The Absolute Best!!

This program is the greatest thing since the Internet! I own cookbooks that I never use because I always end up searching the Internet for the best recipes. Now with Paprika I can organize and keep those Internet recipes, make meal plans, and grocery lists quickly and easily. Its so much better than just pinning them all to Pinterest! It takes literally SECONDS to save a recipe, and because it has a great built in browser, theres no switching between programs. I just changed my diet entirely to the Paleo Autoimmune Protocol, and I dont know how I would have done it without Paprika. I cannot recommend it highly enough!!

PLEASE add "In Pantry" feature

Ive been using all versions of this app since their release dates, and theyve become part of my daily life. However, its been a while since weve had a major improvement, and there is one functionality that is clearly missing: the ability to track whats in your pantry today. I hope you can add this soon.

Best Recipe Manager

Love this app! One click and it saves recipes from sites like AllRecipes without the ads. I love the shopping list feature, I click on the recipes to add to my shopping cart and it makes a grocery list for me and even sorts the list by meat, dairy etc. Best money Ive spent on an app. If you cook, you need this!

Best recipe software ever!

Ive been using recipe software since "Now You’re Cooking” from my Windows days and “MacGourmet" after I saw the light and moved to Apple’s products. Ive never seen any recipe management software as great as “Paprika”. I don’t even need the app to be running in order to save recipes. If I’m using Safari on my desktop or iPad all I have to do is tap the “bookmarklet” at the top of my Bookmarks list and the program analyzes the page, extracts the recipe and saves it for the next time I open the app and then it syncs with no effort on my part. How cool is that? I’ve saved maybe 200 to 300 recipes this way so far and it’s only failed a couple of times. It even succeeds on blog sites with a dozen pics with the recipe instructions spread out between all the photos. Of course Paprika has its own built-in browser which works very well. The ability to save recipes from virtually any English language site is the newest feature, that’s why I’m mentioning it here. I imported about 8500 recipes from MacGourmet (the MacGourmet recipes were imported from “Now You’re Cooking”. They imported well and now with about 9700 recipes in Paprika it still is very fast. I love using this!

Jaw-dropping abilities

This app is in the top one percent of softwares that perform truly sophisticated feats. Many apps are nothing more than dumb databases. They require the user to do most of the decision making and input; they dont save time or animate the data in a useful way. When you try Paprikas Save recipe extension within Safaris share menu, you will be astounded at the result. It recognizes and extracts the elements of a recipe despite the many recipe formats among websites. No manual selecting and saving required. I wish more apps were equally intelligent.

Best recipe app by far!

Ive tried several recipe and cooking apps, and this one wins absolutely hands down. It imports the recipes you want from anywhere and everywhere on the web and converts them to a beautiful and useable format and thats only the beginning. You can use either your regular browser or the browser in the app. Sorting, recipe editing and notes, grocery lists, scaling (from 1/2 up to 100x!), meal planning, you name it. It is incredibly easy to use and reliable- no bugs found yet. It syncs with my phone, iPad, and laptop seamlessly. It is making my cooking easier, broader, and a lot more fun!

A couple of major flaws

It could be great. However, annoying flaw # 1: you have to exit one recipe to search for another. The search bar always needs to be available. Flaw #2: A push pin icon is not available on the side menu to quickly look at your pinned recipes when you had to exit a recipe to search for another.

Really the Best

This is hands-down the best recipe manager available for the iOS and Mac platform today. Importing recipes is a breeze and works automatically for 90% of the sites I visit. Syncing with other devices has been flawless for me, and quick resizing of recipes is incredibly useful with a larger family. Id consider this a "prosumer" level recipe app for people who really enjoy cooking and want to have the benefit of a little tech assistance in the kitchen.

Valuable App for Recipes, Mine and Other Sources

I use this all the time. One of the best things is I can add in my own recipes, with my ingredients and my directions. 2nd best thing is I can search on a dish, like baked chicken, or single ingredient, like asparagus or acorn squash, etc, and it lists websites with recipes with that recipe or ingredient. A one button download to my categorized favorites list is all it takes. 3rd-best is I can take photos with my iPad and attch to the recipe!

Almost perfect

Great recipe organizer. The app browser is a little quirky. It can be hard to get back to the starting page as there is no apparent home button. Also, it would be great to have an in-app measurement converter, ingredient dictionary (or link to one) and a common substitution guide.
