Paprika Recipe Manager App Reviews

I am a foodie and I have had paprika since it was introduced. I absolutely love it. I just started using the paprika bookmarklet from my iPhone and laptop. I cant believe how easy it is to download your recipes with the bookmarklet and have them imported into the app. Brilliant. I cant say enough about it. Worth the cost of the app. Who needs cookbooks!

July 1, 2016: Im adding to my review here. They finally got a share option on the app which is great so I can share my recipes in my group on Facebook, but I clicked share and all it shared was the pic of the food and not the recipe. What good is that? Please fix it so we can share our recipes on whatever social media we choose, thanks! Initial review

I have between 100 - 200 cookbooks on my shelf, and this app is more useful than all of them. For the casual user, it is a great way to keep and store recipes from the Internet or those few important ones you put in by hand. For those who want a bit more, it can easily organize your ENTIRE recipe library (and more importantly, it is very easy to re-organize - if you want good category suggestions, try the indices of your biggest print cook book). Having your entire recipe collection at your finger tips is amazing. Not only is sharing recipes easier, but its so much easier to plan meals (instead of standing at the grocery store wondering what to buy, you just check the app and choose). I bought it for my iPad, iPhone, and Mac book. So worth it.

I own Paprika for iPad, iPhone and Mac and love them all. It does a great job of recognizing recipes on webpages and syncing between devices. I wish it used the iOS system font, though. Its typographic choices are pretty schizophrenic, bouncing between Futura and Helvetica arbitrarily. It would also be nice to have an "in the kitchen" mode, in which the window chrome fades away and youre left with clean, easy-to-read view of your selected recipe.

We use this app every day and its nearly perfect. Among the top 5 best, most truly useful apps on my phone.

I never write app reviews but since I am so pleased I felt compelled to write one for this app. I used to have a few different recipe apps. Now I just use this one. I love the built in grocery list and meal planner. What I just discovered and I really love is that you can click on the time needed to cook or prep something in the recipe and a little timer automatically comes up. What a wonderful feature!! Thank you for this great app!!

I have been using this app to manage my recipes for at least two years. It is wonderful to be able to put my own notes on recipes that I make so that I can adjust the end results for my families diet and taste buds! It is also wonderful to be able to email recipes to friends so easily. Having the software automatically double, triple, or halve the recipe makes my cooking chores easier as well.

Ive been using this app sine my first gen iPad 1. Its a great tool, and the new language parsing features, and support for iOS actions makes it so much easier to use now. HTML support in the editor is appreciated, but Markdown support or similar would be great for those users who arent familiar with HTML.

This app simplifies my weekly chore of meal planning and grocery shopping. It also has an awesome recipe feature that allows you to either build your own recipes or automatically load them from a website. Truly brilliant!

This app is so amazing for saving recipes. It completely wipes out everything, seriously, and leaves only the recipes. It is well worth the price of $4.99. I never save recipes on Pinterest any more. And another great thing, all the recipes all saved on your device and you dont need the Internet to access them! Love it!

Ive been searching for an app to transfer my many binders full of recipes and after trying a few others, I bought this one. Im obsessed now. I had been using Pinterest a lot but so many recipes are via blogs that are full of ads and bog down my iPad. Paprika grabs the info I need and I dont have to fight a billion ads to make dinner. It is searchable so if you have ground beef and want to find something to make, it will pull up everything with ground beef in it. It also has a meal planning calendar and shopping list to stay organized. Really a great app.

Great app and use it all of the time. I especially like to save a recipe from another ones online. Saves so much time than typing everything. However, it would be great if you updated it more often. The Cooking a Channel is not included. As well as a good number of new chefs have entered the cooking world. I realize it is impossible to add everyone and all channels, a The Cooking a Channel has some good chefs on in the morning. Perhaps, we can add our own favorites to the list to save to Paprika.

Ive been using this app since 2012 and its just top-notch for a food managing app. It does what I need for managing my recipes and grocery list on a weekly basis. It sinks with between my iPad and my iPhone and stores my recipes on the cloud. I recommend this app for purchase if youre looking for a good place to use your recipes from.

I LOVE this app! I use it several times a day. It is so user-friendly and so easy to save recipes-so easy, in fact, that I have over 1700 recipes! Everything sounds so good on Google and can be saved with just a click of a button. Which brings me to a suggestion...can you program (or is there already) a way to prevent downloading a duplicate recipe from the same website? Thanks!

I have taken pictures of my recipes but they are too small to read now. I have set to extra large print. What am I doing wrong????

Ive used Master cook over the years and the Yummy Soup for several years. This app is what the other two apps would like to be. Easily moved all my recipes on the other apps to Paprika and couldnt be happier. So easy to import and export. Thank you developers!!!
