Paprika Recipe Manager App Reviews

Latest update makes me want to do a happy dance!

I love Paprika... Its the best recipe manager out there, as far as Im concerned. The only complaint I ever had was the need to copy and paste from the many sites that did not post recipes in a format Paprika could read. Those days are gone! The latest update enables Paprika to read recipes in ANY format, as long as they are in English. Instantly catapulted this app to 5 stars in my book! Thank you!

The Best just got Better

You guys are awesome. My favorite all time app just got even better. Thank you so much for latest update, love it!!!!!!

Simply one of the best design apps I have ever used

I cannot say enough about this app. The designers clearly took the time to understand what cooking and recipe management is all about. The app is purpose built to that end. I love apps that surprise me with features that I hoped for but didnt expect to find. Paprika is one of those apps. I even use Paprika to illustrate well-designed applications to my development team.

Perfect App

This latest edition has made this app perfect. So easy to add recipes to your library! Lots of great extras. I use it all the time. Im doing the happy dance too! Buy this you wont regret it!

Major new bug!

I was disappointed to find that the new version seems not to allow users to magnify or zoom the thumbnail images of scanned recipes, making it impossible to read them now! A major problem for those who scanned print recipes and are relying on Paprika to access them!

Love it

This app has become a crucial part of my familys meal planning. This is one of those apps I wish I could pay for monthly as it is so helpful. My wife and I both have it on our phones and allows us to stay in sync on whats for dinner as well as split up during grocery shopping as it is live synced as we go. Seriously, create some kind of premium monthly feature. I would love to ensure the hosted part of this remains profitable.

Wonderful

I have always loved this app, but this latest update is above and beyond. Its so simple to use and is perfect for my needs. Thanks for such a great product!

Importing recipes

I wish there was a way to import recipes from evernote or other services

Terrible; just an ad delivery app

A rip-off! I was enthusiastic about this app based on what appeared to be sustained acclaim; it immediately disappointed me;lots of ads, reams of instructions which are anything but clear and it does NOT deliver as promised: the browser is a joke- and there is little if any compatibility with the sites I regularly visit to get recipes. And to add insult to injury, you get an avalanche of ads with every tap. Total waste of money.

Its the Best!

I love Paprika! It has to be the best recipe app I have ever tried! It has a great balance between features (having all of the features that I think are important) and usability, so its never complicated but always a pleasure to use. I especially like the ability to import recipes automatically from almost any website!

You might want to look for another recipe app

Make sure you have your recipes backed up somewhere. App no longer loads. Rebooted iPad. Still nothing. No problems with any other apps just this one.

Great app, but unfair charges

The app is really good. However, it is pretty unfair that have to pay twice to have it in your iPhone and iPad.

Great app!

I have purchased numerous cooking and food apps from the free to the most expensive. This is by far the easiest and best quality for the money out there. I dont have the app on multiple devices and only use on my iPad. Other expensive apps dont download recipes from sites with the same ease as paprika. Other apps dont organize the recipes as easily Very happy with my purchase!

Great

great for those found and true recipes you usually write down and misplace ! ingredients listed and put on a grocery list ! need smaller or downsize a recipe .?..done ! Have it on my iPhone, when Im cooking for family on visits to their home Ive used my file of recipes to make my fav recipes for them ...dont have to try from memory ... Its the best app !

No Longer Responding To Questions

Vendor is no longer responding to tech support questions. From their website: "We no longer offer technical support for questions that can be answered by reading through our User Guides or Knowledge Base. You are welcome to continue submitting bug reports or other requests, as we do read through them all, however unless your request falls into one of the following categories, please do not expect a reply: - You are having a problem launching the app. - You have lost your license key and need to look it up. - You are reporting a bug and we need to gather additional information to determine the problem."

Fantastic Recipe App

Using this on my iPad, iPhone, and Mac is the perfect way to find and store recipes that I use regularly and want to keep over the long term. Auto recipe importation from the web and built in doubling are essential features. Highly recommended.

Update went backwards instead forward

The major update that was supposed to fix unsupported websites broke what did work instead of improving it. Websites I used to save recipes from no longer work and now I have to use the clipboard for ALL recipes.

Love it so far

Ive really been enjoying using this app already. It was quick to figure out and easy to use. Its already helping me keep better organized so that I actually end of trying fresh recipes that Ive found. One wish: itd be GREAT if it could do the nutritional calculations based on ingredients, quantities and serving. So many web recipes dont have it and having to go elsewhere to calculate it then enter it in this app is a pain. Hope the developers are considering adding it or partnering with someone else that does.

Amazing App

The best recipe app out there. So many ways to collect recipes. Easy to learn and syncs across devices.

A cooks dream

I cant say enough about the suite of apps (desktop, ipad, and iphone) and how they work together. The interface is clean, pretty, and user-friendly. Cooking with the ipad or iphone includes being able to check off ingredients, highlight instruction steps, and add notes on the fly. Its off-putting at first that you have to buy all three separately, but the total price ($30) is completely reasonable for what you get and its still less than Living Cookbook which doesnt sync to any apps, and just a bit more than annual Pro membership in Big Oven which doesnt support a desktop app any more. I highly recommend Paprika.
